How does it work?

How does it work

Connection

VentWatch connects to the patient’s breathing circuit (universal for all brands of mechanical ventilators) through a differential pressure flow sensor. No software or electrical connection to the ventilator is required.

Signal Reading

The VentWatch device reads the differential pressure reading from the flow sensor.

Measuring

The VentWatch device software processes all physical variables, detects all readings of the mechanical ventilator to which it is connected, creates different types of graphs and performs real-time calculations.

Transmitting

The information is constantly transmitted through the institution Wifi or ethernet connectivity to a cloud based remote server. All data is transmitted through a HIPAA compliant cloud service.

Consult

The platform, named VentBoard, has a user-friendly interface where loggin users (critical care staff, researchers and administrators) can keep track of all connected VentWatch units.
